Well, the sun might not have shone on us but there was still a lovely warm atmosphere as we gathered for the annual coffee morning. Many plants changed home, treasures were found by new owners, and cakes and coffee fuelled us all.
Had Jane really counted all the currants in the Dundee cake? She had – all 751 of them! Ali and Mike guessed there were 750, so they won the cake. Duncan was runner up with 768.
We are building up a reputation for really good Indian food to take away. We hope to offer even more next year! Thank you Shilu and friends.
So from all the team, thank you – to all of you who came and supported us with contributions and emptied your pockets so generously.
At the time of going to print we have raised £990. Thinking ahead to next year, will you save pots and hanging baskets for us to reuse, please. Cramden Nursery and Morrisons deserve thanks for the plants that went into this year’s baskets.
