News from the 5th Northampton Girls’ Brigade Company.

What has been happening in the company?  Have a look and find out what we have been up to from January to Easter 2025. On our first night back in January we had a Silent Disco which was fantastic. Later on in January we were visited by Luna a Guide Dog puppy in training with her handler Sue. Luna was very excited to see all the girls and the girls were equally as excited to see Luna!  The Girls’ Brigade England & Wales recently introduced new material for badge work and the whole company decided to do the same badge entitled Working Together because it helped to prepare for our next big event in March – our 110th Birthday! A big celebration took place on the 10th of March; parents, friends and members of the church family joined us and they participated in some fun activities which included drill, county dancing, team games, and a special birthday song. The evening culminated in a Presentation of Awards, and the girls received quite a few badges! The girls in our n:spire group were presented with their Foundation Stage Young Leader Awards and three of them were also presented with their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Awards! The evening concluded with some birthday cake and everyone had a great time! The following week the whole company went to Gravity Active for some trampolining and we concluded a very successful few weeks with some Easter Activities. Check out our Facebook Page for more photos and information.
